Young people are the future of our world and we encourage them to show their talents, to develop their skills and where possible we give them a helping hand.

We run competitions that are part of a Rotary national network

​

• Young Musician- providing individuals an opportunity to perform in public and for the best to compete at regional and national level.

• Young Technologist – school teams design and build  machines and are judged on their originality and practicality 

​​

• Youth Speaks –  school teams compete in a public speaking competition

​​

• Young Chef – in past years we ran the local heats of this competition

​​

Each year since 2013 we have given Dictionaries4Life to year 4 children in local primary schools.  We conduct mock interviews and help students develop their team-building skills so as to prepare them for the world of work.

​

Some young people and their families have difficult lives and we try to help them too through our support for Youth in Romsey, Romsey Young Carers, Romsey Family Support Group and Rotary Kids Out.
